The head of the region, Alexander Osipov, and the founder of the trading and production company Zarya, Dong Jie, signed an agreement on April 24 at the Trans-Baikal foreign economic forum “New Horizons - 2026” on the implementation of an investment project for the construction of the customs and logistics complex “Dauria” in the territory adjacent to the Zabaikalsk international checkpoint.
The total investment in the project will be about 4.1 billion rubles, a land plot has been identified for the placement of a new complex with an area of about 65 thousand square meters.The operator of the agreement on the Russian side is the Ministry of Planning and Development of the Trans-Baikal Territory.
“The construction of the Dauria customs and logistics complex is a key project for unloading the Zabaikalsk international checkpoint.The new infrastructure will not only increase throughput capacity, but also create modern conditions for business and transit.The implementation of the project will give a powerful impetus to the development of the entire border area,” said Vitaly Eksuzyan, head of the Ministry of Planning of Transbaikalia.
The customs and logistics complex (CLC) will be engaged in the operational processing of cargo on the “one window” principle, said Alexey Poyarkov, general director of the Zarya trading and production company, the investor’s representative in the Russian Federation.
“After reconstruction at the Zabaikalsk automobile checkpoint, the number of vehicles crossing the border will increase to 2,400 per day, and this entire range of cargo will need to be systematized, speed up the customs clearance process, and establish interaction with the railway.The TLC will have warehouses for storing perishable and cold goods, a hotel complex, a business center, a gas station, and a laboratory for technical testing of transport,” said Alexey Poyarkov.
The project implementation period is from 2027 to 2032.
