The architecture of the business program of the Eastern Economic Forum – 2026 has been published

The official website has published the business program architecture for the Eastern Economic Forum 2026, which will take place September 1–4 in Vladivostok on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University. This year's EEF theme is "The Far East: Development for the Benefit of People." It is organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation.
"The Eastern Economic Forum has become one of the most effective tools for the socioeconomic development of the Far East. In the first years of the Forum, the main objectives were aimed at economic recovery of the macroregion: modernizing existing enterprises and building new ones, attracting technology to the regions, and creating highly skilled jobs. Thanks to government support measures, almost 7 trillion rubles of investment flowed into the Far East and the Arctic, creating 197,000 jobs. Economic incentives have created a foundation for further development and made it possible to devote even more attention to the social sphere. Additionally, special tools were introduced: preferential Far Eastern and Arctic mortgages and free land allocation under the Hectare program. The modernization of social infrastructure continues with funds from the Far Eastern Presidential Unified Subsidy. At the direction of the President of Russia, large-scale renovations are underway in 25 Far Eastern and 15 Arctic core cities. All of this is being done to ensure that the Far East and the Arctic become comfortable places to work and live. At the Eastern Economic Forum, we will discuss what has already been accomplished and what needs to be addressed in the near future,” said Yury Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District, and Chairman of the Eastern Economic Forum Organizing Committee.

The business program is divided into five thematic tracks: “Living and Working in the Far East,” “Mechanisms for Attracting Private Investment,” “The Far East – a Pole of International Interaction,” “Technologies of the Present and Future,” and “Logistics and Infrastructure for Economic Growth.”

“The world is undergoing a systemic transformation.” This is due to the fact that Western economic and technological institutions have proven their inability to ensure global development. Today, their goal is to restrain the development of countries that disagree with the position of the collective West. Under these circumstances, the formation of a sovereign economy is a prerequisite for progressive development. Its key components are the active implementation of technological innovation, the development of human capital, and international cooperation based on pragmatism and mutual respect.

These vectors are reflected in the program of the Eastern Economic Forum. It covers a wide range of topics – from technological cooperation and the diversification of international logistics routes to the development of artificial intelligence, robotics in manufacturing, the introduction of unmanned technologies, and the growth of the platform economy. I emphasize that the measurable result of any systemic change is an improvement in people's quality of life. This priority is reflected in the main theme of this year's Forum. "I am confident that dialogue at the EEF will enable us to develop systemic solutions that will ensure Russia's sustainable socioeconomic development," emphasized Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the EEF Organizing Committee.

The "Living and Working in the Far East" track will focus on issues of staffing the macroregion's accelerated development and creating a comfortable living environment. Specifically, discussions are planned on the role of universities as technology drivers, increasing the export potential of creative products, implementing master plans for cities in the Far East and housing policy, as well as socio-architectural practices aimed at improving living standards.

Discussions within the "Mechanisms for Attracting Private Investment" track will focus on topics such as improving the extractive industries and manufacturing, developing preferential regimes in the Far East and the Arctic and implementing investment projects, creating an Eastern Financial Center in the macroregion, streamlining business reporting, and more.

The "Far East – A Pole of International Cooperation" section will focus on interactions with countries in the Asia-Pacific region and current areas of cooperation. The focus will be on the new economy of international aviation, tourism as a tool of soft power, and consumer protection.

Participants in the "Technologies of the Present and Future" track will discuss the integration of artificial intelligence into various spheres of life, the robotization of production, the potential for the development of driverless vehicles, and other issues. Discussions will focus on the platform economy, effective strategies for financing technological leadership projects, as well as the creation of data centers and the bioeconomy.

The "Logistics and Infrastructure for Economic Growth" track will focus on the development of transport corridors, including the Northern Sea Route.

The business program at the "Streets of the Far East" venue will include an open plenary session on projects under the "Muravyov-Amursky 2030" program, a business game called "Vladivostok 2050: Designing the City of the Future," as well as events dedicated to the "Far East – Land of Adventure" competition and tourism products created in the macroregion.

The EEF will also feature the Creative Industries Forum, the Youth Forum "Day of the Future," the International Forum "Falcon Day," the SME Forum, the APEC International Conference on Cooperation in Higher Education, and the conference "Crossroads of Civilizations: The Role of Transport Integration in the History of the Asia-Pacific Region." Business dialogues with China, India, the UAE, Mongolia, Vietnam, and ASEAN are also planned.
