A leading Chinese agro‑industrial company is conducting a site selection process for the construction of an oilseed processing plant in the Trans‑Baikal Territory (Zabaykalsky Krai).

The Transbaikal Development Corporation held a meeting with a delegation from the agro-industrial company Jiangsu Goldland, led by company President Mao Jie. Investors and CRDC experts discussed the possibility of launching a flaxseed and rapeseed oil processing plant in the region, as well as the prospects for implementing an investment project in the region.

Development Corporation specialists presented the region's available land resources. Neighboring China and Mongolia, the Transbaikal Territory has over 6 million hectares of available agricultural land, including over 1.4 million hectares suitable for growing agricultural products and over 5 million hectares of hayfields and pastures.

"It is important to us that the Transbaikal Territory has significant land potential and is located in close proximity to the Chinese market. This opens up excellent prospects for cooperation," emphasized company President Mao Jie.
Jiangsu Goldland comprises several subsidiaries operating in oilseed processing, vegetable oil production, grain storage, trading, and logistics. The company's annual revenue exceeds 6 billion yuan, and its production complex occupies over 100 hectares. The company's grain storage capacity is 60,000 tons, and its oil storage tanks, 180,000 tons. Its daily oilseed processing capacity reaches 1,000 tons, and its oil refining capacity is 800 tons per day. Production is almost fully automated. The complex has its own port and cargo terminal with an annual cargo turnover of over 3 million tons.

KRZK specialists presented the region's investment potential, discussed current support measures, incentives, and preferences for investors, and discussed project support through a one-stop shop.

Today, the delegation will visit an oil processing plant and learn about its production capabilities.

Currently, the Transbaikal Development Corporation is supporting approximately ten projects with foreign participation and continues to attract investors to the region.
